A Better Tomorrow with Cooperatives

We created a 7-episode video series to mark International Day of Cooperatives, celebrated annually on July 6. The United Nations’ theme for 2024 is “Cooperatives Build a Better Future for All,” and the UN has also declared 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives, highlighting the essential role cooperatives play in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Within our ecosystem, INOGAR and İhtiyaç Haritası continue their work through a social cooperative approach—strengthening solidarity and mutual aid, and striving to reduce inequality with the belief that every life holds equal value. IDEMA – International Development Management supports cooperative sustainability through its deep experience in the field, focusing on capacity building and operational improvements.

In this spirit, we launched the “A Better Tomorrow with Cooperatives” series—a journey where we spotlight the cooperatives we collaborate with, share mutual learning with, and grow alongside. The series highlights the meaningful work, impact, and unique voices of our partner cooperatives.

We were honored to feature the insights of İhtiyaç Haritası, INOGAR, Beri Women’s Cooperative, Ahenk Cooperative, Mathematics Education Cooperative, We Are All Nature Initiative, and DAF – Interdisciplinary Philosophy Cooperative. We also extend our gratitude to the following for their inspiring contributions:
Dr. Ali Ercan Özgür, PhD – Co-founder of IDEMA, İhtiyaç Haritası, and INOGAR
Evren Aydoğan – Executive Director, İhtiyaç Haritası
Mehmet Sarıca – Chairman of the Board, INOGAR

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak Karabey – Co-founder, Mathematics Education Cooperative
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arzu Kızbaz – Co-founder, We Are All Nature

We thank all our stakeholders for their valuable participation in this journey of shared impact.
